Brace-Ed was founded by Catherine Yeo in the 2015-16 school year, with AP Calculus AB being the first course taught. The course was taught to support students who had insufficient education in the subject of calculus in the two months before the AP exam. A longer and more structured AP Calculus AB course was taught in the 2016-17 school year. Going forward, there may be more STEM courses available.
All students who have taken a Brace-Ed course have passed the AP exam, getting a score of 3, 4, or 5.
90% of Brace-Ed students have received a 5 on their AP exam.
The money will be donated to nonprofits that support math and computer science education.
